Fun for the first time I use my HTC HD-Fi, I encounter a problem that I took 2 long hours to resolve. Yesterday evening, so I enable the wireless via the communication tab available since the Touch Flo. It directly identify my WiFi network on the Netgear router. I insert my security key and I try the MAC address of the HTC HD to validate the level of my router. Finally one last thing to do before establishing the connection is the insertion of fixed IP because I do not use the method for assigning an IP address automatically through my router.
So I filled my TCP / IP and add the gateway and the primary DNS server for name resolution. Cool it works and I can even download small software for my phone. Next morning, the wifi off, I realize that I am no longer able to connect via the SIM chip on the 3G network Orange. Finally, I connect but I can not display pages or to establishing connections with the services provided on the Touch Flo interface, weather or stock market for example.
Having fiddled for a while my connection settings and restart the phone several times, I resolve to think it's a bug in the device on the allocation of IP addresses on the wireless card's Touch HD. And indeed, after delivering all the functions in automatic mode. My 3G connection is again functional. It is surprising, it is possible that 3G and WiFi chip is on the same physical medium.
This is not really practical because now when using my HTC Touch HD-Fi, I must each time passed through the network setup menu.
Solution: Menu setting HTC -> wireless -> wireless networks -> network adapters (below) -> Edit -> Reselect ip allocated per server
