by chance I came across the website of Dan Peverill who made a simple plugin that operates correctly geshi syntax highlighting and code like below.

) It remains only good frame your tag code with some CSS for default and especially for those who code on one line, that may spill over your sidebars. Some problems also with the use of TEN wordpress including line breaks and the fact that we no longer see your tags once registration is complete.
